introduction

Whale, Whale, Whale.

It's been years since I've blogged, about anything (unless you count my random notes on Facebook that usually only entail poems.)

My life has gone through some pretty drastic changes in the past month.

  • Exhaustively forgot to ID and undercover underage police cadet and was fired. (luckily i only have to pay 280 for that misdemeanor by April)
  • broke up with the guy that i had been dating for three years (and moved eight hours away from home with)
  • since we broke up, i became homeless and moved in with my best buddy Zack.
  • broke both of my heels (keeping me out of work and out of mobility)
Yeah, i know. who breaks both of their heels at the same time. Yeah, two thumbs up for this girl right here-uh.

But to be honest, i'm so much happier now than i apparently have been the last couple of years. I've learned that I've been stupidly insecure.

  • I can walk again, which means I can find a job. (i'm a not so secret workaholic.)
  • I have a guy that makes me feel great about who i am, and while all we really do is text, hang out once a week and drink; he has slept over twice and we kiss a lot. I don't want to have sex until we're officially in a relationship. I've learned my lessons in the past about that. It's not fun to be used for it.
  • I've gotten back to going out and hanging with friends, which i stopped doing in the last six months of my relationship with my ex.
  • I love my roommate, we just drink whiskey or beer and smoke cigarettes while watching Netflix  It's very chill and we have amazing conversations apparently.
  • and now i'm going to get back into writing, which is something i used to do for hours each day. this is just my first step into breaking the wall.
So as you can tell, October was a pretty crazy month. In a month (give a few days) i'll be twenty four. Sucks that i have the face of a 16 year old and the body of a 12 year old. But what can you do? I'm getting back to what made me who i am.

It will be an excellent adventure.

(how's that for an introduction...)
